Job description Robot Welder
 
SUMMARY:
The Robotic Welding Machine Operator has primary responsibility for operating a Robot Welding machine in the Parts Department. They will maintain the robot welder and make sure parts are being accurately welded. Each job must be run with safety, accuracy, and timeliness.  This is semi-strenuous work requiring good correct vision, lifting, stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching, pulling, tuning and walking from one workstation to another.  You must physically be able to lift 50lbs.   This is an entry level position, and we will train the right candidate.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
 

  • Operate, program, maintain, and troubleshoot welding robot.
  • Operate robotic welding equipment efficiently and accurately to produce high-quality welds.
  • Set up and program robotic welders according to job specifications and welding parameters.
  • Plan details of work order procedures; gather required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job.
  • Observe robot in operation to maintain safety, quality, and throughput
  • Communicate with other shifts and departments to aid in maintaining part quality to acceptable.
  • Keep work area, tools, material and equipment clean and orderly.
  • Work in Parts departments when not operating welding robot.
  • Maintain, organize, and clean equipment and the work area.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Must physically be able to lift 50lbs. 
  • Must be physically capable of standing/working for extended periods of time. 
  • Ability to speak and read in English.  Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Able to do basic math, specifically fractions.
  • Able to use a measuring tape.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • A good work ethic.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Tenaciously work towards daily, monthly & annual department and company goals & objectives.
  • Be able to prioritize.
  • Be able to take direction, both verbally and written.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • A high school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous robotic weld work experience helpful.
  • At least 2 years of work-related experience preferred.

Job Type: Full-time
 
Pay Range: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
 
Expected hours: 40 per week

  • Monday to Friday 6:30am to 3:00pm
