His instructional method instantly immerses the student into playing by teaching a song or style they like, then introducing the music theory behind it. This way the student gets the joy and satisfaction of playing songs they like while at the same time learning song structure, key centers, chord progressions, scales, playing techniques, etc. The student will eventually be equipped and encouraged to release their own creativity, write their own music, play tastefully and respectfully with other musicians, and never hit a wrong note.
